She started her career with Van Dyk en Vennote in 1996. Amanda earned her N.Dip. in Internal Audit from Tshwane University of Technology and qualified as a professional accountant with SAIPA in 1999. She became a director at Secundes in 2002 and has been instrumental as a training officer and evaluator, helping many article clerks qualify as professional accountants.
